i finally had the gumption and opportunity to recline in a hot bath and look through the latest metropolis and let the stunning paris hotel rooms designed by christian lacroix entertain my inner costume designer/appreciator.

dubbed "lavish mash-ups" these rooms are  deliciously overwhelming in their density of pattern, texture, and "gingerbread", as my mother would say...  the article tells us that in 13,000 sq feet there are "no less than 80 types of fabric, 20 tile motifs,10 carpet patterns, 7 totally different color schemes, and nearly 50 original collages used as ceiling and wall coverings"...
